baggage Steward. Died in the sinking. His body was never recovered. Dearly Beloved Husband of Mary J. Bessant, of 39 Shirley Park Road, and Loving Son of Mrs. Bessant of 44 Wolseley Road, Freemantle.

BUTT, William John
Mr William Butt, of 6 Cawte Road, Southampton, died in the sinking. He was a Fireman/Stoker. His body was recovered by the Mackay-Bennett as #77, and was buried at sea on 24 April 1912.
HENDY, EDWARD MARTIN
Edward Martin Hendy, 38, was born in Southampton. He initially signed-on to the Titanic in Belfast for her delivery trip to Southampton. When he signed-on again, in Southampton, on 4 April 1912, he gave his address as 21 Paynes Road, (Southampton). As a first class steward he received monthly wages of £3 15s. His last ship had been the Olympic. Hendy died in the sinking. His body, if recovered, was never identified. He was married to Alice. In 1901 they are listed at 1 The Lilies (?), Richmond Road, Freemantle. Next door is an Albert H. J. Hendy, also a ships steward (probably brother).
KINGSCOTE, William Ford
Mr William Ford Kingscote, 43, was born in Gloucester. In 1901 his wife Mary is at Purbeck Cottage, Elgin Road, with their four children: Elsie, Lilian, Robert and Winifred.
When he signed-on to the Titanic on 4 April 1912, he gave his address as 24 Elgin Road, Freemantle, (Southampton). As a first class steward he received monthly wages of £3 15s. His last ship had been the New York. Kingscote died in the sinking. His body, if recovered, was never identified.
SCOVELL, Robert
Mr R. Scovell, 42, was born in Hampshire in 1869. When he signed-on to the Titanic, on 4 April 1912, he gave his address as 141 Foundry Lane, Freemantle, (Southampton). His last ship had been the Olympic. As a second class steward he received monthly wages of £3 15s. Scovell died in the sinking. His body, if recovered, was never identified.

Mr Ernest William Hamblyn, 41, was born in Plymouth. When he signed-on to the Titanic, on 4 April 1912, he gave his address as 2 Norman Villas, Dyer Rd, (Southampton). His last ship had been the Olympic. As a bedroom steward he received monthly wages of £3 15s. Hamblyn died in the sinking. His body, if recovered, has never been identified
