HENDY, EDWARD MARTIN Edward Martin Hendy, 38, was born in Southampton. He initially signed-on to the Titanic in Belfast for her delivery trip to Southampton. When he signed-on again, in Southampton, on 4 April 1912, he gave his address as 21 Paynes Road, (Southampton). As a first class steward he received monthly wages of £3 15s. His last ship had been the Olympic. Hendy died in the sinking. His body, if recovered, was never identified. He was married to Alice. In 1901 they are listed at 1 The Lilies (?), Richmond Road, Freemantle. Next door is an Albert H. J. Hendy, also a ships steward (probably brother).
