When most people think of a church, they think of a building. Our building is something we care for and want to pass on to the next generation, however the church is the people who gather. When church buildings were first closed in March 2020 due to the covid-19 pandemic, we had to find new ways of being church. From March 2020 until Pentecost 2021, we produced a weekly thought for the week article, written by members of our congregation and friends of our church family. All them can be found on the archive link on the right.
We also provided recorded videos of services and sermons which were added to our YouTube page. From January to March 2021 we also held Zoom services online. Although services have started again in the building, we know that things are still uncertain and may change again. However the church in Freemantle will continue to serve in this place whether in person or online. |
