Coronavirus - What to expect when visiting Christ Church
As a Parish we have been following the Guidelines and Legislation laid down by central Government and the Church of England. The PCC (governing body of the Parish) regularly reviews the local situation and makes a judgement whether it is right to continue with face-to-face worship.
As of the 5th January 2021, though we have entered a third national lockdown, we are still permitted to offer face-to-face worship and it is our intention to do so.

If you are feeling unwell please do not come to Church
What we did
At the outset, as the building had not been used for several months we fully ventilated the building, run through all our taps (including toilets) and central heating system. Lighting was checked and cleaning was undertaken.
Being blessed with a large nave not restricted by Pews, we re-arranged our chairs in line with the advice on social distancing. Signage was printed to indicate procedure. All non-essential print collateral (Bibles, notice sheets, service booklets etc) were removed as well as prayer candles and stoup. Hand sanitiser is provided throughout the building and PPE for our Clergy. A risk assessment was undertaken in-line with Church of England and HSE Advice & Guidance.
