We look forward to joining with our friends at Maybush for our Ascension Day service on 14th May at 6.30pm at St Peter's Church.
Lent began for us on Ash Wednesday with a joint service of Holy Communion with our neighbours from the Parish of Maybush. The service was led by Revd Karen and Revd Ali preached. We will be joining up again for Ascension Day when we head to Maybush.
We had a special Shrove Tuesday when Bishop Rhiannon, the Bishop of Southampton came to preside at a communion service and we shared lunch together.
Five members of our congregation were commissioned by the Bishop of Winchester at the Cathedral on 11th October 2025 after having completed the Bishop's Commission for Mission course on Worship. Two of the group also completed BCM Pastoral. More details here
Celebrations as Over 30 People are Commissioned for Lay Ministry at Winchester Cathedral - Diocese of Winchester We had a wonderful start to Harvest on Saturday with an international harvest supper with food from all over the world, and prayers in Farsi and Urdu as well as English. Then on Sunday was an International Harvest service, celebrating our unity in our diversity. The service was led by Revd Ebenezer Omidiji, a member of our congregation, we sang a Nigerian song with drums, heard a bible reading in Farsi and posed for a photo as we processed out of the service. Harvest continues next week with our traditional hymns and a collection for the food bank.
